Synopsis:
Everything is fun and games until someone gets hurt, and what Jameson Kane did to Tatum O'Shea goes so far beyond hurt, he is well into the realm of unforgivable. Tate says she wants him gone for good, and he quickly learns that the old saying, “you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone”, is most definitely true. But Jameson has never been very good at following instructions, and when Satan decides to seek redemption, he'll go to great lengths to get it. He proposes one last game – one to end them all, if she agrees to play. He is very confident that he can win, but Tate warns him that it's not possible; she will not lose again. Little does she know, Jameson is prepared to do whatever it takes. Prepared to lay the entire world at her feet. Prepared to bear his soul. What he didn't count on, though, was handing the damn thing over.
Now Jameson can only pray that his evil ways haven't rubbed off on Tate too much. Sometimes, it's very difficult to tell who the Devil really is …
WARNING: contains a semi-reformed devil, a woman scorned, and more Sanders than anyone has a right to witness. Also graphic sexual situations and strong language.

Separation is the 2nd book in (The Kane Trilogy) You need to read the first book in the series (Degradation) before reading this book.
Stylo Fantome has smashed it out of the park again!!
Degradation, the first book in The Kane Trilogy is by far the best book I've read this year. I have been eagerly awaiting to read Separation and when I found out a copy had been sent to me, it made my year! I left the book I was currently reading as Separation was my top priority and read it in one sitting. I couldn't get enough of the Jameson and Tate and the second book was just as brilliant as the first book.
Seperation starts off where Degradation ended. Tate is suffering after all the hurt she's through by the drunken incident and by all the games Jameson played with her. She is very confused about her feelings for Jameson, but knows they can never move forward after what he did to her. She's heart broken and very lost. Luckily she has Sanders with her helping her move forward and to try and make sense of everything that happened.
Jameson is confused about how he feels after hearing what has happened to Tate. "He never know what he had until he lost it" he wants her back and is willing to do anything to make that happen......even convince Sanders to trick Tate to go on holiday with him to relax, but little does she know Jameson will be there and he has one more game he wants her to play in hope of winning her back.
Jameson changes quite dramatically in Seperation to try and show Tate how sorry he is. He still has the nasty, possessive, "I'll do what I want and only what I want" attitude but he's rained it in a lot to make things better.
By the end of Degradation I had mixed feelings about Jameson. He litually was the Devil and has no redeeming qualities. However you could tell within the last few chapters things were starting to change with him and Tate and his feelings were more than just the games they were playing. My feelings towards the end of a degradation of Jameson had slightly changed and I was starting to like him. I was looking forward to seeing how Stylo would change his character in Seperation. She did a excellent job at keeping the Jameson we knew in the first book, but also showing us a completely different side to him to make the reader fall in love with him. It was great seeing his nicer side and him struggling to keep his devil side in check, but also still seeing the devil side of him occasionally. Stylo did a great job at getting the level between the 2 personalities of Jameson perfect.
Tate was also a slightly different character throughout Separation aswel. You got to see a lot more of her venerable side. She's been hurt by everybody she's every let get close to her, mum, dad, sister and Jameson. She's put on a tough girl act for so many years to hide her venerable side because she doesn't want anybody to know who she truly is. She loved Jameson even though it was all suppose to be a game between them both, she was very slowly starting to let her walls down and let him in, until he went and hurt her like everybody else in her life has. Because of this Tate isn't prepared to let Jameson back in after the swimming pool incident. She blames him for it happening and wants to move forward with her life. After she gets tricked in to a holiday with him and one last game with Jameson, Tate is determined to not let him win so she can move forward and forget Jameson. Tate puts on a strong front and knocks back all Jameson advances. She really makes him work for her time and attention. Slowly though she starts to see that Jameson is really trying and is changing to try and make her happy.
Sanders is back in Separation. You can't help but love him. Sanders has a different relationship with Tate and a different one with Jameson. With Tate, Sanders is like her best friend and protector. They both take care of each other in a brother/sister way and truly care for each other. Watching their relationship develop over the 2 books has been beautiful. Sanders has stared opening up more to Tate esp in Separation and I can't wait to find out more about him and read more about his and states relationship in book 3. Sanders relationship with Jameson is very different, Jameson is his protector and a father figure for him. You see Jameson's softer side with Sanders more and you know that Jameson would do anything for him. There relationship is another that is beautiful to read about. Sanders respects Jameson immensely, but will always tell him when he's in the Wrong and advice him what to do, even if Jameson doesn't listen. I'm hoping we get to find out more about Sanders background in book 3 so we can find out more of why he is the way he is,
I honestly can't wait until book 3 is released. I don't know how I am going to wait for so long. I want it now.
If you've not read Degradation or met Jameson then I suggest you do right now. This series will blow your mind. If I could get it 100 Stars I would. Brilliant
